Announcement: NightChurch has closed down. Please visit us at Shelton FBC, and learn more about this transition below:

WHY?

For the good of the FBC body as a whole. Some of you may or may not know that FBC is looking for a new senior pastor. The prayer and vision is for a man who will help teach and lead for the next 20 years. NightChurch would like to display unity during this process in support of the greater vision of FBC.

Additionally, as NightChurch people and leaders integrate into FBC, we will bring our NightChurch vision and "style" into both new and existing ministries.

WHY NOT?

We are NOT closing down NightChurch because we have been asked to or are being forced to. FBC and its elders have been nothing but 100% supportive from the first days of NightChurch through today.

This is NOT what we expected during our evaluation period at the beginning of this year but have felt God's direction moving each of the leader's hearts throughout January, February and March of this year. This decision has been made with lots of prayer and counsel.

It is NOT because the heart and goal of NightChurch to reach disenfranchised and unchurched people in Shelton is a bad one, or one that has been accomplished.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

Over the next 2 months, NightChurch will be doing messages that look back over the history of the church, including Baptisms and a Worship night on June 17, and a farewell back-alley BBQ and dinner on June 24. Pastor Paul (from FBC) will be sharing at NightChurch on May 20. NightChurch will be doing the service at FBC on June 10. There will be videos of NightChurch leadership at FBC from now until June 24.

Please don't quit coming because we are rejoining the morning service. Finish strong and join us. Be sure to hear from us over the next few weeks about the exciting things the LORD is doing through FBC these days.

We know that this may disappoint some people. It may feel like we're letting others down and it might even make some people angry. We're sorry. We don't intend to hurt anyone. The leadership of NightChurch is trying to radically and humbly follow what we see GOD doing. In an effort to be good communicators, we began sharing the news through appropriate channels as soon as the decision was made (April 19).

As many of you know, NightChurch leadership has always strived to be authentic, transparent, and "over-communicators" (sometimes to a fault!). We believe this is one of the core values that has made NightChurch unique, and that has allowed us to speak into the lives of unchurched and disenfranchised people about the authentic and transparent Gospel of Jesus.

If you have ANY questions or comments or concerns or need clarification on a piece of this puzzle, please please please contact us in person at NightChurch. Or via txt or by calling (360) 54JESUS. Or via email hello@nightchurch.org.

We love our church, NightChurch. We also love our church, FBC.

We are excited for what GOD is doing in Shelton and we are eager to be a part of that mission.

Please join us.
